Hi Sonny,

I continue to be amazed by your work on the tenor sax! I posted some comments on the "recordings" section of this website. I have thoroughly enjoyed the work you have done with Don Cherry, especially the recording "Our Man in Jazz". What did you think/feel about your playing at the time when you were with Don Cherry? Did this feel like a new direction to you or was it a natural extension of what you were already doing, or both?

On another topic, have the recent events in world politics negatively impacted the jazz world? In what ways? I am always lifted up by hearing jazz, and, in some ways, this frees me from my concerns about what is happening to our planet Earth.
