Good afternoon Mr Rollins,
I hope this message find you well. I am a tenor saxophonist myself and studying music and specializing in jazz at The University of Hull. In the next few months, I am due to take my next performance exam. Along with some time signature risks I am taking with 2 of my chosen pieces in my quartet, I will also be playing your signature St Thomas.
I realize you probably get messages like this all the time but would you have any advice for soloing over St Thomas? The past few months, i have been struggling to over come a metaphorical brick wall with my playing, this has got to a stage where I have played at a jam night and I have been so fed up with what I am playing that I've got hung up on it for weeks afterwards. I wondered if you've ever gone through this and if there are any inspirations you have or ways for over coming such problems?
all the best and please keep making a difference.
Greatest respects,
Benjamin
