Sonny,

You don't know me, obviously, but rest assured I am not an excitable boy. However, since my ex-wife gave me for my 40th birthday two tickets for your 50th show in NY, well, I have been bouncing off the walls! I cannot remember a time in my four decades on this earth I was more excited.

I'll never be able to express what your music has meant to me over the years. More importantly, I cannot express what a pleasure and joy and what a good feeling I have in my soul to know you exist in the world. Your passion for the music, your drive at self awareness and betterment and your utter compassion is an example for all of us to follow.

I wish you are very happy, albeit belated birthday, and if you cannot here me clap and scream and yell your name in New York next week, consider this my salute. SONNY!!!!

I am not a religious man.. but bless you! Bless you for your music, for you.
