Dear Sonny,

I went to Gent Jazz Festival to see you yesterday. As you are not coming to my place this year, I drove for three hours to hear you playing. But a three-hour drive was nothing (I took another three-hour journey to Luxembourg last year). You always energize me. Yesterday's concert was not an exception. The only thing I was sorry about last night concert was that you left the stage too early. Time was still 12:00 midnight. Everyone wanted to hear your music all night!

I wish I hear your singing again at the next concert, like you did in Dusseldorf in 2008.

I was a college student at U. of Chicago many years ago and used to go hear you when you played at McKey's lounge at 63rd St and Cottage Grove Ave. I loved classical music then, and jazz ever since. I knew you were better than good, but I didn't realize that being there when you played was like being in Vienna when Beethoven was performing.
